Favorite spots to eat in San Diego

Being such a foodie, I wanted to make a post with my top places to eat in my hometown of San Diego since I get so many questions on where to go!

Here is a list of my go-to places that don't let me down, whether it's a date night, girls' night out, or a celebratory dinner. Exploring new places is a passion of mine; please leave me a comment with your favorite spots

Barbusa- Amazing food, excellent customer service, in a lovely spot. They make everyone feel like family here. They are located in the heart of Little Italy, with several hot spots nearby if you want to grab a drink before or after.

My Favorite Dishes- Squash Blossoms, Polenta Bolognese, Bietole, Spicy Penne Alla Vodka (not on the menu), Granchio.

Lumi- Located in the heart of Gaslamp, a newer rooftop dining experience with a vibe ambiance, good music on the weekends.

My Favorite Dishes- Sushi Pizza, Yellowtail Serrano, Spicy Chili Garlic Edamame, Rock Shrimp Tempura, A5 Wagyu, Halibut Nigiri, Sea Bass Nigiri.

Nobu- Located inside the hard rock hotel in Gaslamp, this is one of our staple date night spots when splurging.

My Favorite Dishes- Yellowtail Sashimi, Rock Shrimp, Cauliflower, Wagyu Flambe.

Shino- A hidden gem, this Japanese restaurant is a family-owned hole in the wall that will impress you if you’re into authentic Japanese food. It is located on Ash St., next to the waterfront. I recommend coming early and taking a walk on the harbor before.

Azuki- Tasty Japanese spot, with a cute ambiance if you eat inside on the upper level. I LOVE all the rolls here.

My Favorite Dishes- Spicy Garlic Edamame, Eggplant, Kobe Roll, By the Border Roll, R U Kidding Me Roll.

Larsens- Our absolute favorite steakhouse has a classic “steakhouse look,” but the food is incredible.

My Favorite Dishes- Kushi Oysters, Crab Cake, Lobster Bisque, Wedge Salad, Wagyu Filet, Creamed Corn, Mashed Potatoes-- and all the steak sauces!

Javiers- Good music, fun vibe for a date or girls’ night out. Everyone is always dressed to impress here.

My Favorite Dishes- Queso Fundido, Ceviche, Filet and Enchiladas Plate

Watergrill- Wonderful fresh seafood restaurant located in Gaslamp. They have a good variety of fish and oysters.

STK- Located in Gaslamp underneath Andaz hotel. This is another one of our go-to spots if you want a more party vibe with a great steak dinner. If you go on a weekend, they have a Dj! It is also a great option if you want to host a birthday dinner since they have a few private rooms you can decorate for groups.

My Favorite Dishes- Seafood Tower, Crab Cake, Filet with Truffle Butter and Lobster Tail, Peppercorn side sauce, Creamed Corn, Creamed Spinach, Lobster Mac N’ Cheese.
